Collection: Drum

Saltwater Drum fish require a peaceful community in a large aquarium. They prefer a sandy substrate and abundant hiding places. They tend to hide during the acclimation process to the new aquarium until it feels safe. They are reef safe.
Some fish just exist in the tank, and then there are fish like drum fish—full of character, mystery, and a little bit of rhythm. These deep-water drifters are famous for their striking black-and-white patterns, flowing fins, and their habit of making drumming sounds to communicate. They tend to be a bit shy at first, but once they settle in, they move with a slow, hypnotic grace that makes them stand out in any saltwater setup.
